Students are expected to attend their lessons punctually and regularly.
Students are expected to be polite and well mannered at all times to their peers and teachers. They are to take teachers corrections on board and use corrections to improve their technique.
Students must attend class dressed and groomed appropriately wearing the correct uniform. This is for health & safety reasons, if a student is not dressed correctly they may be asked to sit and watch the class.
Names should be placed in all students uniform to avoid loss.
Hair needs to be tied back off the face and worn in a bun for ballet class.
Appropriate footwear is required for classes. Please wear non-outdoor shoes for classes so debris and mud are not brought into the studio.
No chewing gum is allowed on the premises.
Students may bring water into the class and a healthy snack if they are staying a substantial amount of time.
Students will keep the studio tidy and put rubbish in the bin. If any student deliberately vandalises the studio or property they may be asked to leave.
Students may be required to take part in performances and extra classes in regards to examinations. Prior notice will always be given.

Students should avoid correcting other students unless asked to do so by the teacher.
Mobile phones will remain in changing rooms/in bags unless otherwise advised. If students wish to bring their phone into class, it will be placed in the corner of the room until the end of the session to avoid distractions.
Studio 7 Theatre Arts does not accept responsibility for any damage or loss of property whilst on the premises. Items found will be placed in the lost and found.
Studio 7 Theatre Arts does not accept responsibility for any accidents or injuries that may occur once a student is no longer in a class. All staff will take all reasonable steps to ensure that all children are safe and supervised in class and between classes.

We aim to support other dance schools in the area and do not wish for conflict over students.
Studio 7 Theatre Arts reserves the right to dismiss any pupil at anytime for failure to comply with the terms and conditions.
Your child's attendance to class is dependent upon agreement to the above.
Parent conduct
It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to notify the principal of any illness or injury that may affect their child's participation in classes.
It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to ensure that the school have the correct details of parent/carers, the student and keep the school updated on any changes to contact details or health concerns.
Photographs and video footage containing your child may be used for promotional purposes including use on our website and Facebook page with parent/carer/young person consent on enrolment.
If the studio blinds are open, we discourage parents from watching sessions as the children will concentrate better without distractions.
You are unable to record students during classes if you are invited to watch, there may be students in your video who have not given consent to the school for their footage to be used. If we do see filming taking place, you will be asked to leave and we will have to stop inviting parents in for performance sessions.
If a parent refuses to follow Studio 7 Theatre Arts rules and conditions, you and your child will be asked to leave the dance school.
Parents must be punctual in dropping off and collecting your child. We will not let your child leave the premises unless we can see you stood outside ready to collect them. This is for your child's safety.
Parents/carers are reminded that inappropriate language or aggressive behaviour towards pupils and/or teachers including student teachers will not be tolerated.
If parents/carers need to discuss an issue with a teacher, please refer the matter to an administrator or send a message to the school email. The teacher will then contact you to discuss the matter when they are not teaching. If needing to message the teacher, please avoid using their personal social medias. You can contact us by the schools email, Facebook page or phone number.
Parents/carers of children in younger classes are expected to work with the teacher to get the child to come into the lesson independently. A younger child once over the fear of being without you will work better alone than when you are in the room.
Car parking is available in the New Life Church, and should parents/carers intend to use this facility you will need to ensure students are walked to the studio door to ensure their safety.
Please ensure teachers are made aware if another adult is collecting your child or they are being collected by another students parent.
Timetable and fees
Lessons are timetabled on a half termly basis. Parents/carers are expected to check the timetable for any changes at the end of each term.
All fees are payable strictly in advance and must be paid prior to your child's first session back. If you have any difficulties please discuss this with the principal, Lauren Blanchard.
Any late payments will have a 10% surcharge every 2 weeks. Any payments still required after a month will result in your child being withdrawn from the class.
With the exception of new pupils enrolling during term time, no deductions can be made for missed classes.
One months notice in writing is required for pupils wishing to leave the school or dropping a class. Any student leaving the school must give the correct notice period or they will be liable for the following one months fees.
If you have given a months notice you will still be required to pay for that month. This is so we are able to continue paying our teachers fairly.
Cancellation given with less than a month's notice will be subject to charge of 50% of the payment.
Cancellation given within 7 days of the class restarting will be subject to charge of 75% of the payment.
Please note, filling in our online enrolment form is you committing to classes, so a months notice must still be given even if you only attend a number of times.
Should any classes need to be cancelled due to teacher illness or any emergencies, classes will be made up for at a different time.
Should it be necessary to close the school on the account of epidemic, national crisis or any circumstances outside of the studio's control, fees cannot be returned, nor compensation made for any period of lost schooling.
