Your first class is on us
Come and
try a class.
Tell us a little about your child and which class takes their fancy. We will confirm a date within a couple of days.
- One free trial per new student
- We want your child to feel happy and comfortable before committing to a class. A trial gives them the chance to meet their teachers and new classmates, join in, and see what Studio 7 is all about.
- No experience needed
- We welcome complete beginners as well as children who have danced before. Whether your child is a toddler or a teenager, we will help find the class that suits their age and experience.
- No uniform to buy
- For their first session there is no need to purchase uniform. Something comfortable they can move freely in is absolutely fine. Once they have settled in, we will advise on the right uniform and dance shoes.
- Drop off and come back
- Students are more focused and independent when parents are not watching from the studio, so we ask you to leave them with us. The exception is our Saturday Mini Movers session for 2 to 4 year olds, where you are welcome to stay.

What age can my child start from?
Our classes begin from age 2+, introducing little ones to movement, music and dance in a fun, friendly and encouraging environment. At this age it is all about building confidence, developing coordination and discovering a love for dance, while learning to listen, take turns and become more independent in class. As they grow, students have the opportunity to progress through a wide range of dance and theatre styles, developing their technique, performance skills and creativity along the way.
Does my child need dance experience?
Not at all. We welcome complete beginners as well as children who have danced before. Whether your child is a toddler or a teenager, we will help find the most suitable class for their age and experience so they can learn, progress and enjoy themselves.
What should my child wear to their first class?
For their first session there is no need to purchase uniform straight away. Something comfortable that they can move freely in is absolutely fine. Once they have settled into their class, we can advise you on the correct Studio 7 uniform and dance shoes.
Can I sit in and watch the class?
We completely understand that you would love to see what your child gets up to. However, we find that our students are more focused, confident and independent when parents are not watching from the studio. It allows them to fully engage with their teacher, concentrate on their class and enjoy learning without any distractions. The only session we allow parents to watch is our Saturday Mini Movers session for 2 to 4 years. There are still plenty of opportunities to see their progress: throughout the year we have lots of performance opportunities including our annual showcase.
